Bogdan is passionate about open source projects and Internet ever since high-school when he was in charge of maintaining one of the first Internet connections in Romania.
In 1998 Bogdan created the portal home.ro, the first service to offer free e-mail and web-hosting services to over 500.000 romanian Internet users. A few years later RDS, one of the major ISP in Romania, bought home.ro, taking Bogdan on board. While working for RDS he focused on designing a highly scalable Internet backbone used by millions every day.
In 2000, Bogdan founded Extreme Solutions, a consulting company that in collaboration with several agencies worked to define and increase the online presence for numerous big companies: Connex, MobilRom, Sara Merkur and others.
Currently, Extreme Solutions provides consulting services for building scalable web applications and operates several online projects in Romania and abroad: nod.ro - classifieds ads, beautyspell.ro – store for professional beauty products, cinemania.ro - cinemas schedule for iPhone users, eureg.ro - domain registrar, cyclop.ro - content delivery network.
Since 2008 Bogdan is serving as a member of the Registrar Advisory Board at EURid Belgium, the organization that operates the .eu top domain level.
Now he returned to an older passion: internet services and will be happy to assist startups with knowledge on scalable applications, network infrastructure and company management.
