Andrei worked as a Flash freelancer for 2 years with different companies after a few unsuccesful tries, he started a small 3-men-”business” in the production of speakers and high power custom sound systems. One year later he co-founded a small web-design company targeting small businesses; He made an exit in 2006, “giving” his part of the company to his associate.
In march 2006 he founded bookblog.ro and started putting a team together. Bookblog.ro won the “Best Romanian Cultural Blog” award for 3 consecutive years (2007,2008,2009) and the Internetics prize in 2008 for the best website in the “Art & Culture” category. Bookblog.ro is also the organiser of the “Schimb de Carti” meetings, an idea similar to the worldwide Bookcrossing, but with some twists :). Schimb de Carti is organised monthly in ~27 cities (august 2009) in Romania, London, Paris, Bangkok and extending at full speed.
